Coaches

Graeme Beath (Co-Founder, Head Coach)

CrossFit beginnings: After several years of training at a large gym chain, doing the usual cardio/strength workouts, Graeme was desperate to go harder and faster. So he joined a Boot Camp group and luck had it that the trainer was Commando Steve (Steve Willis). This experience transformed his life and created an unshakeable passion for CrossFit and its philosophy.

Fitness philosophy: Graeme believes that age is no barrier to being fit, strong and healthy. Known affectionately as ‘the Fossil’ Graeme is an inspiration to young and old alike. His favourite t-shirt reads “The older a fossil is, the harder it becomes”. He believes that a healthy body comes from useful exercise, unadulterated food, adequate rest, and the development of mental toughness. Graeme loves the sense of community that CrossFit has fostered worldwide. He has found that being part of an active community provides friendship, support and encouragement for CrossFit members along their journey, regardless of their level or ability. “At competition days, there is a real sense of members encouraging each other. The biggest cheer is often for the person who finishes last but struggles through anyway”.
